G-Lock Fast Blog Finder Review

Posted on 07. Feb, 2009 by Marc McDermott in SEO

What’s the biggest and most important part of SEO?  LINKS! Not just any links though as I am confident many of you ought to know; links must be DOFOLLOW.

Dofollow backlinks with a high PR are more or less a gem in the world of SEO.  Finding such a website/blog to get a free high PR dofollow link can be extremely time consuming if you fail to have a few tricks up your sleeve.  Yes there are ways to find them rather easily directly from the search engines, however these methods still require more time than I have.

Therefore I have recently found G-lock fast blog finder, a small desktop application that allows you to quickly find nice dofollow blogs.  There is a free and paid versions of this software, so if you are unsure of making such a purchase, download the free-trial.

What are the benefits of the $50 paid version?  Endless opportunities!  It is important to note that the application returns search results for only 50 blogs in the free version, usually only consisting of 5-10 dofollows.  Of those 5-10, most often 1 or 2 will have any significant PR.  On the other side of the coin we have the paid ‘Gold Edition’ of the program that can find up to 1000 blogs per search, with many high PR dofollows.

The $50 is a onetime fee and in my opinion an invaluable asset to any SEO campaign.  Bottom line, any successful website needs to have efficient link building methods to compete in the SERPs.

Hi, thanks for the review. Here is the live test that compares the v2.6 of Fast Blog Finder to the new 3.0 version.

Thanks for the review. I am not totally thrilled about Fast Blog Finder yet. The dofollow blogs it returns are not always accurate (I know this is hard) and some free dofollow search engines do a better job at this.

However; some other features such as saving when you posted comments, a comments check, etc. make it worthwhile. It’s not expensive and it will only continue to improve.

I agree that the software is not always 100% accurate. I don’t know the precise ways their software works, but i can only imagine it periodically crawls the web and stores information in a database to return the software’s queries. If that’s the case, remember that it can be very easy for a website to transfer from dofollow to nofollow universally for their comment links (especially those using wordpress).

Do you have any good examples of similar software? I havent really done much research in that regard.
